ROW: Winner from Help Peter Cook

Last week we noticed a very cool idea taking root on the blog Help Peter Cook. Every week he gives his readers a list of ingredients and challenges them to turn those ingredients into a tasty meal. We liked this for several reasons.

  1. A list of ingredients encourages people to get creative with what they have on hand. The recipes often incorporate kitchen and pantry basics to create something totally new.
  2. The ingredients are often things that were on sale.
  3. The list frequently includes some kind of mushroom. What? We’re nothing if not a little predictable in that way:)

Peter made a great video demonstrating the winning recipe, a delicious-sounding  roast vegetable dish with portabella mushrooms, and has posted it in its entirety on his blog. Thanks to Peter for letting us in on the fun!

What are you doing to get creative with dinner lately? Do you ever improvise like this on your own?
